Accounting & Advisory Services
Bookkeeping, financial reporting and business advisory, so you know your real profit every month instead of once a year.
Often used by manufacturers and traders, service businesses and startup founders.
The problem, in plain English
Many business owners see their real numbers once a year, months after the year has ended, when the accountant finalises the return. By then it is too late to change prices, chase a slow customer or cut a cost.
Monthly accounts change that. When the books close every month, you can see which products, clients or branches make money, how much cash you will need next quarter, and whether your GST and income tax figures will hold up.
Because our founding partner runs manufacturing, food and farming businesses, we keep the reports practical: a page you can read in ten minutes, and a short call when something needs a decision.
Who this is for
- Owners who find out their profit only when the tax return is filed
- Businesses whose books are always a few months behind
- Companies preparing for an audit, a bank loan or investors
- Growing firms that need an accountant but not a full-time team yet
What we do
-
Review your current books
We look at your accounting software, chart of accounts and backlog, and agree what needs cleaning up first.
-
Set up a monthly routine
We agree a fixed date each month for you to share bills, bank statements and sales data, and we post everything by an agreed deadline.
-
Reconcile and close the month
We reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables and GST, so the month's figures are complete and correct.
-
Send reports you can read
You get a short monthly report: profit, cash position, who owes you money and what you owe, with a few lines on what changed.
-
Year-end and advice
We prepare the financial statements for audit and tax, and meet you to discuss pricing, costs and cash flow.
Documents you will need
- Access to your accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books or similar), or your existing records
- Bank and credit card statements
- Sales invoices and purchase bills
- Salary and payroll records
- Loan statements and fixed asset details
Typical timeline
Onboarding and catch-up usually take two to four weeks, then a fixed monthly cycle.
Fees depend on the work involved. We give you a clear quote before we start.
Questions we are often asked
Which accounting software do you work with?
We work with Tally, Zoho Books and the other common packages. If you have no software yet, we recommend one that suits your size and set it up.
My books are a year behind. Can you catch up?
Yes. We agree a catch-up plan, starting with whatever is most urgent, such as a GST return, a loan application or the annual filing.
Do I still need an accountant if I use accounting software?
Software records entries, but someone still has to classify them correctly, reconcile accounts and spot errors. Most notices and audit problems come from books that were entered but never reviewed.
What does the monthly report include?
Profit and loss for the month and the year so far, cash and bank balances, money owed to you and by you, and tax payable, with a short note on anything unusual.
Can you handle payroll as well?
We record payroll in your accounts and handle the related TDS. We can coordinate with your payroll provider for the statutory contributions.
