Income Tax Return Filing & Compliance

Return preparation and filing for individuals and businesses, checked against the tax department's own records before it goes in.

Often used by individuals and service businesses.

The problem, in plain English

Most income tax notices start with a small mismatch: interest on a fixed deposit that was left out, a sale of shares that was not reported, or TDS claimed that the deductor never filed. The department now sees most of this data before you file. A good return starts by checking it.

The due date depends on who you are. For most individuals whose accounts do not need an audit, it is usually 31 July after the financial year ends. For businesses that need a tax audit, it is usually 31 October. A tax audit applies once turnover or receipts cross certain limits, which we check for you.

If you pay tax beyond your TDS, you may also need to pay advance tax in instalments during the year, with interest if you pay late. We work out the instalments in advance.

Who this is for

  • Salaried people with capital gains, rental income or more than one employer
  • Freelancers and consultants with professional income
  • Partnership firms, LLPs and companies
  • Anyone who has received an income tax notice about a past return

What we do

  1. Gather your income details

We send you a short checklist based on your income sources, so you share only what is needed.

  2. Check the department's data

We compare your records with the Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Form 26AS, which show what banks, employers and others have reported about you.

  3. Compute tax and compare options

We calculate your tax, compare the old and new tax regimes where you have a choice, and claim every deduction you are entitled to.

  4. File and verify

We share a summary for your approval, file the return, and complete e-verification so it is processed.

  5. Follow through

We track the refund or any demand, and plan next year's advance tax so there is no interest to pay.

Documents you will need

  • PAN and Aadhaar, and the login for the income tax portal
  • Form 16 from each employer, or your business accounts
  • Bank interest certificates and statements
  • Capital gains statements from your broker or mutual fund registrar
  • Proofs for deductions (insurance, investments, home loan, donations)

Typical timeline

Usually three to five working days after we receive complete information, longer for returns with capital gains or business accounts.

Fees depend on the work involved. We give you a clear quote before we start.

Questions we are often asked

Which ITR form do I need?

It depends on your sources of income: salary only, capital gains, business or professional income, or a firm or company. We pick the right form, because filing the wrong one can make the return defective.

Should I choose the old or the new tax regime?

It depends on your deductions and income. We calculate your tax both ways and show you the difference before filing.

What is AIS and why does it matter?

The Annual Information Statement shows income that banks, employers, brokers and others have reported against your PAN. If your return leaves out something in your AIS, you are likely to get a notice, so we check it first.

I missed the due date. Can I still file?

Usually yes, as a belated return within the permitted time, though a late fee and interest may apply and some losses cannot be carried forward. Contact us quickly so we can confirm your options.

Do you handle TDS returns and advance tax for businesses?

Yes. We handle quarterly TDS returns, TDS certificates and advance tax calculations, so your business stays compliant all year.
